Rumors we all hope will come true

Catherine Hardwicke talked about the Sundance Film Festival and her next projects and mentioned something we're definitely interested in, her exact words were:
"I think I'm doing another cool movie with Evan next, a really wild erotic thriller...about a character that's really pushing the edge..."

If you want to listen for yourself go at about the 3 minute mark

Evan Rachel Wood Week - Twitter Galore

Hi everyone!
Since the PGA awards on Saturday Evan wasn't seen around and there are no updates about new projects/appearances but it sure wasn't a slow news week for Evanholics, not at all.
On monday Evan discovered the power of twitter, or better, she decided that she could use it to actually help people and give advice as a kind of microblogging therapist (bringing the concept of Freudian Transference to a whole new level).

So starting from the beginning, I think the spark of everything was this tweet:

(That movie is truly brilliant and one of my favourite as well and you should all check it out.Really.)

After which she started tweeting to Jamie the best scene from the movie and one of the best movie monologues ever ( a collective "aww" from people who know what I'm talking about and a link for others, I could only find it in french with spanish subs though, seriously, watch the whole movie).

Then the tweet that sparked responses by evanholics from all over the twitterworld:
From then on Evan started a real twitter marathon of several hours answering to people mostly about personal matters but also about her life and experiences.
It would be too much to copy all of them here but, if you don't want to browse through them all on Twitter, the lovely ladies at The Locker Room made a nice recap post with quotes from the day, they also decided to call this the "Evan Rachel Wood Week" and who am I to argue with that.
So Evan proved once more she's not just another (extremely) talented and (very) pretty face but a kind hearted soul that everyone of us would like to have as a friend...(or therapist).

Finally one tidbit of news she gave us on monday:

YAY for comedies! and Happy "Evan Rachel Wood Week" to everyone!

Don't forget to share any thought or comment, I'd love to read what you think about it, either bad or good, don't be shy!

I'd like to take a moment to thank all the Evanholics that are following on twitter and were great live commenters of the GG yesterday night... lately with all the twits, the public events and the stupid amount of pictures floating around we've all been on an Evan overdose and it's been great to share it with all of you. Thanks for the support!

So here are the pictures from the HBO and InStyle parties!

Ides of March in DVD - Out on Jan 17

The Ides of March DVD/Blue Ray will be out in the US on January 17. Undoubtedly the trifecta Wood/Gosling/Clooney in all their HD glory won't disappoint but let's take a look at the important stuff, the extras!
Following a short review, by dvdmg.com, for each featurette that can be found in the Blue Ray (the DVD version only contains "Believe","On the Campaign" and the commentary), so here we go:
  • When we examine the package’s extras, we start with an audio commentary from writer/director/actor George Clooney and writer/producer Grant Heslov. The old friends and partners sit together for this running, screen-specific look at sets and locations, cast and performances, script/story/character topics, music and camerawork, editing and visual design, and other filmmaking subjects. As I mentioned, Heslov and Clooney have known each other forever, so their easy rapport comes across during the chat; they mesh well as they converse. In terms of content, the track tends to be a little spotty, but not badly so. We get a reasonable look behind the seems and learn enough about the production to make the commentary worthwhile.
  • Developing the Campaign: The Origins of The Ides of March runs seven minutes, eight seconds and delivers notes from Clooney, Heslov, producer Brian Oliver, playwright/co-screenwriter Beau Willimon, and actors Max Minghella. “Campaign” looks at the project’s roots and development of the flick, as we trace it from stage play to movie screen. We get some changes made along the way and related subjects in this short but informative piece.
  • Next comes the six-minute, 19-second Believe: George Clooney. It features Clooney, Minghella, actors Ryan Gosling, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Jeffrey Wright, Marisa Tomei, and Evan Rachel Wood. The featurette looks at Clooney’s dual role as director and actor. It’s essentially a love letter to Clooney; outside of a few good shots from the set, there’s not much of interest here.
  • With On the Campaign: The Cast of The Ides of March, we get a five-minute, 49-second piece with Clooney, Hoffman, Gosling, Minghella, Heslov, Giamatti, and Wood. We get a few notes about cast, characters and performances. Mostly this is another puff piece that talks about how wonderful everyone is. Yawn!
  • Finally, What Does a Political Consultant Do? goes for seven minutes, 29 seconds and includes material with Clooney, Heslov, Gosling, Willimon and political consultant Stuart Stevens. Here we learn a bit about what role actual political consultants serve in campaigns. Some decent notes emerge, but like most of the other featurettes, this one mostly promotes the film and doesn’t tell us much.

So all in all not a very flattering review and not a very rich extra package, it seems that also the Nerf guns and Evan singing Bieber backstage are missing :P

Evan on Flaunt Magazine - Scans

Flaunt magazine published some low quality scans from february issue! Check their site for more. Ellen von Unwerth really outdid herself, these shots are absolutely wonderful. And don't forget to read the full interview after the cut!

Evan on Flaunt Magazine!

Just Jared published some Evan's picture as a preview from the Flaunt magazine February issue that will feature her new photoshoot by Ellen von Unwerth. Apparently Evan visited a psychic with the magazine and heard about what the future will bring her, nice start for an interview, not usual at least.
Following you'll find the pictures and after the cut some interview excerpts! What's your favorite? The one with her in the bathrobe should come with a warning.

Evan at the Hotel Cafè

In this post I'll put all the photos/videos from the concert at Hotel Cafè, hoping there will be many :)

I love her way of singing, harsh and sexy. *Someone get her a record contract, stat.*

The lucky and generous lady who documented all this also wrote here a recap of the night (don't miss it, if only for the description of Evan and Jim's supersweet encounter).
Thanks to Liz co-webmistress of http://jimsturgessonline.com/.
More pictures under the cut

Evan in the Vote Against Project and other news

The Vote Against Project has kicked on today and Evan's photo is pure badassness!

In other news:
- Taylor Swift has been allegedly offered the role of Eponine in the movie version of the musical Les Miserables, if this was true and she'd accepted Evan would not be considered for the role anymore. Apparently the choice of Taylor caused a stir on the web and off considered who the contenders were...I think that in a few days we'll know what the final decision is.
- Evan yesterday night was at the "Hotel Cafè" in LA and she took the stage with her Across the Universe co-star Martin Luther. There is a low quality pictures here but I hope someone will upload a video soon. She sang "Preacher man" and something from "4 non blondes"...Ok, now, while we all ponder to move to LA for good I'll go look for videos of the night.
