News and Rumors

Not many updates in the last week, Evan spent from Monday to Friday in Rome probably for a photoshoot on which I still have no information except that it was shot in Rome and that Evan wore a wig, as she herself posted on twitter a picture of it.

  • An italian blogger managed to meet Evan outside her hotel today before her flight back and took a minivideo before she asked not to take pictures, watch it here. The real news is that Chris Evans was there too, can it be that the photoshoot had something to do with their previous Gucci collaboration?
  • A still/promotional picture has been released for the new movie Plush that's been confirmed just a few weeks ago...some sites questioned the authenticity of the picture but I have the feeling that some hot stuff will go on in that movie, I tell'ya.

  • Also a more detailed plot summary has been published on IMGlobal site

"After losing her band mate and brother to a drug overdose, rising rock star Hayley (Evan Rachel Wood) finds herself in a downward spiral. The second album from her band Plush is received as a critical and commercial disaster. She finds new hope and friendship in Enzo, the replacement guitarist who inspires her to reach new creative heights. But soon their collaboration crosses the line sexually and Hayley, who is married with two children, retreats from Enzo’s advances. As Hayley slowly discovers Enzo’s dark and troubled history, she realizes she may have let a madman into her home and family and that her mistake may cost the lives of people closest to her…"

News! - Evan in the new Jeff Buckley biopic

A Jeff Buckley biopic! and Evan is in it!
Hallelujah indeed.

Evan Rachel Wood and Jack Huston have joined the MYSTERY WHITE BOY, the true story of the life and career of Jeff Buckley, the American singer who emerged in New York City’s avant-garde club scene in the 1990′s as one of the most remarkable musical artists of his generation. The story is adapted for the screen by Ryan Jaffe from the David Browne novel. They join Reeve Carney, who replaced Robert Pattinson for the role of Jeff Buckley, Patricia Arquette, and John Patrick Amedori. Wood will play Joan in the film and Huston will play Mick Grondahl, with the project already in preproduction.

Evan at the Amnesty International's Secret Policeman's Ball

Yesterday Evan attended the Amnesty International's Secret Policeman's Ball 2012 at Radio City Music Hall.

The event was held to celebrate 50 years of Amnesty International (Evan has been involved with Amnesty for the "Chimes of freedom" project, check it out here if you haven't seen the video yet).
This year's Ball was the first to take place on American soil and arguably the most high profile to date: performed to a crowd of 6,000 in New York, streamed live on US website Epix, and due to be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK on Friday 9 March, it will also be available here from tomorrow, sadly only for US residents.
I don't know if Evan took the stage, though she probably did, but I think it's worth a watch for all the great comedians and performers, check the source for a more complete list but let me say just this: Coldplay, Kristen Wiig, Jon Stewart.Yes.

Well let's cut to the important stuff! Pictures!
